Meet The Founder

Cynthia Efe Okoro

(Certified Trauma and Abuse Informed Counsellor with Specialization in Conflict Resolution)

Cynthia Efe Okoro is a Certified Trauma and Abused Informed Counsellor with over 10 years working experience in counselling and providing support to minors and vulnerable persons, including domestic violence survivors. Cynthia Okoro is Specialized in Conflicts Resolution through the application of Alternative Disputes Resolutions (ADR) techniques, Emotional Intelligence (EI), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution Focus Therapy, and Crisis intervention Skills.

She earned her first degree from Delta State University Abraka Nigeria in 2009 and did her National Youth Service Corp (NYSC) at Adamawa in 2010. Her passion for supporting vulnerable persons opens door of opportunities for her study Abroad. Where she earns a Diploma in Community and Justice Service in 2019 at Algonquin College Ottawa Canada. Cynthia Okoro hope for a just society for Nigerians, prompted her to study the root cause human conflicts, where she earns an Honour in Bachelor of Arts with a Specialization in Conflicts Studies, from Saint Paul’s University in Ottawa Canada in 2022.

Cynthia’s understanding and experience of human conflict and the holistic disputes resolution through negotiation, cooperation, collaboration, compromising, and avoidance forms the base of the Wecare Community Center.

When Cynthia is not working, she spends her spare time reading, exercising, and watching documentary films.
